This has screened here, and it's such a good 'un. There's been a bit of a stir about it for obvious reasons.I find it deeply upsetting to watch, perhaps because it's such an accurate reflection of what goes on around us. And because I also think Australia is actually one of the least child-oriented cultures, and one of the least respectful of its children I have ever encountered. But that's another issue.
I also found that very moving and yes, disturbing. I think it's something we're inherently aware of, but presented this way it shows a strong message. I hope it changes minds and hearts.
I watched about half of it with the sound off, and then stopped it. It's certainly true and very, very sad.
Whew, my pregnant emotions almost couldn't take it. Thanks for the painful reminder. :)
